Quests

The 41 tiered quest lines on Lifesteal in five categories, how progress and tiers work, and the Money and Vote Key rewards, with every target.

Quests are long-term goals that pay Money and Vote Keys. Every quest line tracks one activity, such as breaking diamond ore or killing blazes, and has five tiers with growing targets and rewards. On Lifesteal all quests progress automatically while you play, so there is nothing to accept.

Opening the quest menu#

Run /quests (alias /q). The first menu shows the five categories, each with a "Completed: {done}/{total}" counter. Click a category to see its quest lines.

Each quest line shows your current tier, a progress bar, the progress against the tier target and the rewards for that tier. A quest line that is finished is struck through and marked Completed. New players also see a short boss bar that says "Quests | Type /quests to get started!" when they join.

How progress works#

  • Everything tracks at once. Lifesteal has no quest selection, so every quest line in every category counts your actions at the same time. Clicking a quest in the menu does nothing.
  • Five tiers per quest. Reaching a tier's target pays that tier's reward and starts the next tier. Progress starts again from 0 at each new tier, so the targets are separate counts and not a running total.
  • Finishing tier 5 completes the quest line.
  • No timed reset. Quest lines do not reset daily or weekly. Progress carries over between sessions, and a completed line stays completed.
  • Messages. You see your progress on the action bar and in a short boss bar while you work. Completing a tier shows a "TIER {n} COMPLETE!" title and the chat message "Tier {n} complete! Rewards: {rewards}". Completing a whole quest shows "QUEST COMPLETE!" and "Congratulations! You completed {quest}!"
  • Rewards are paid automatically when the tier completes.

What counts for each category#

CategoryWhat counts
MiningBreaking the listed ore, stone and obsidian blocks. Blocks that a player placed within the last 1 day do not count.
WoodcuttingBreaking logs and stripped logs and wood of the six listed trees. Blocks placed within the last 1 day do not count.
FarmingHarvesting fully grown crops. A crop planted or placed within the last 30 seconds does not count.
FishingMaster Angler counts any fish you catch. The species quests count only that fish. Treasure and junk do not count.
Mob KillingKills you make yourself. Mobs killed by automated farms or robots do not count, and neither do player kills.

Rewards#

Every quest line pays the same ladder, with a slightly lower top end for the Mining lines.

A finished quest line is worth $910,000 and 4 Vote Keys, or $760,000 and 4 Vote Keys for a Mining line. Completing all 41 quest lines pays $35,660,000 and 164 Vote Keys in total. Vote Keys open the Vote Crate; see Crates.

Tips#

  • Quests are a steady source of Money. Even the first three tiers of any line pay $160,000 for modest targets. See Earning Money.
  • Work on several quests at once. Every quest line tracks in parallel, so you never have to choose between them.
  • Do not rely on placing and re-breaking blocks. Recently placed blocks do not count.
  • Vote Keys from tier 4 and tier 5 add up quickly across 41 lines; see Crates for how keys work.
