Siege is a scheduled clan event. Every participating clan works through four KOTH arenas in a fixed order, and the first clan to capture the last arena wins clan points for the whole clan and a KOTH Crate key for the player who made the final capture.
Schedule#
Siege starts automatically every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:00 PM server time. It is announced to players at spawn and in the event worlds reached from spawn (Siege, Outpost, Citadel and the Admin Abuse arena), who see "[Siege] The Siege event has begun! Capture Siege KOTH 1!" The event has no time limit of its own: it runs until a clan wins it.
Getting there#
Open the Warps menu with /warps and click the SIEGE banner. The warp takes you to the Siege world, where building is not allowed. You need to be in a clan to take part; see Creating a Clan.
The four arenas#
Arenas are captured in this order, and each one takes 5 minutes to capture.
| Order | Arena |
|---|---|
| 1 | Siege KOTH 1 |
| 2 | Siege KOTH 2 |
| 3 | Siege KOTH 3 |
| 4 | Siege KOTH 4 (final) |
Every clan has its own progress. A clan starts at arena 1 and only the arena that matches its current stage counts for it. Capturing arena 1 unlocks arena 2 for that clan, and so on. Capturing arena 4 wins the event.
Capturing an arena#
- A clan member stands inside the arena that matches their clan's stage while it is uncontrolled. If several eligible players are inside at once, the game picks one of them at random as the capturer.
- The arena is announced: "{clan} ({player}) is capturing {arena}!" The 5-minute timer starts for that clan.
- The clan keeps control as long as that capturer stays inside the arena, alive and online. If they die, leave the arena or log out, the arena is released: "{clan} lost control of {arena}."
- When the timer finishes the arena is captured: "{clan} captured {arena}! Next: {next arena}." The clan moves on to the next stage.
An arena is held by one clan at a time, so other clans cannot start capturing it until it is released.
Winning#
When a clan captures the final arena the event ends with "[Siege] {clan} has conquered Siege!" The rewards are:
| Reward | Who gets it |
|---|---|
| 1,000 clan points | The winning clan |
| 1 KOTH Crate key and the message "You received siege victory spoils!" | The player who made the final capture, if they are still online |
The clan points count for both the weekly and the all-time leaderboard. See Clan Leaderboard and Points. The KOTH Crate key is opened at the crates warp; see Crates.
If the event is stopped early, players at spawn and in the event worlds see "[Siege] The Siege event has ended with no winner."
Checking the event#
/siege status works for everybody and prints the current state of the event. Run it at spawn or in the Siege world; out in the wider world it reports that Siege is not running.
| Output | Meaning |
|---|---|
| [Siege] Siege is not running. | No event is active. |
| [Siege] Siege is running: | An event is active; it is followed by one line per arena and one line per participating clan. |
| - {arena}: uncontrolled | Nobody is capturing this arena. |
| - {arena}: {clan} capturing ({minutes}m {seconds}s left) | That clan is holding the arena. |
| - {clan} is fighting for KOTH {number} | The clan's current stage. |
Tips#
- Keep the whole clan alive and online. One death or logout by a member at spawn or in the event worlds resets everybody, even if that member is not in an arena.
- Pick a capturer who can defend the arena for the full 5 minutes. Losing the capturer releases the arena for others.
- Remember that normal PvP applies. See Combat and Hearts for what a death costs.
