Clan points are the score of a Lifesteal clan. Clans earn them from player kills, KOTH captures and the Siege event, lose them when members are killed, and compete on a weekly leaderboard that resets every Wednesday evening and an all-time leaderboard that never resets. The three best weekly clans pay gems to their leaders.
Opening the leaderboard#
Run /clan leaderboard or /clan top. The menu opens on the weekly view. The same standings are on the website; see Clans on the Website.
How clans earn and lose points#
Points move when a player kills another player, when a player wins a KOTH, and when a clan wins the Siege event.
| Event | Clan that changes | Points |
|---|---|---|
| You kill a player who is not in your clan or an allied clan | Your clan | +4 |
| You are killed by a player from another, non-allied clan | Your clan | -20 |
| You capture a KOTH: Cover, Square, Canyon or Crossing | Your clan | +100 |
| You capture the Citadel | Your clan | +500 |
| Your clan wins the Siege event | The winning clan | +1,000 (see Siege) |
Rules that decide whether a kill counts:
- Points only move when the killer is in a clan. If the killer has no clan, nobody gains or loses anything. If the killer is in a clan and the victim is not, the killer's clan still earns the +4.
- Deaths that are not caused by another player cost nothing.
- Allies never move points. If the victim is in your own clan or in an allied clan, neither side gains or loses anything. See Clan Alliances.
- The same kill pair counts once every 2 minutes. If you kill the same player again within 2 minutes of your last counted kill on them, neither the +4 nor the -20 is applied.
- Only the player who wins a KOTH earns the capture points for their clan. Capturing a Siege arena or the Outpost gives no capture points; winning the whole Siege event does.
Gains and losses are announced to the player involved: "You have gained {n} clan points.", "You have gained {base} (+{extra}) clan points." when a rank bonus applies, and "Your clan has lost {n} clan points." Points are sent to the clan in small batches, so the leaderboard can lag behind by up to about 30 seconds.
Bonus points#
These bonuses increase the points you gain. Boosters, the Titan Mask, the Outpost and rank bonuses do not apply to losses.
| Source | Effect |
|---|---|
| Clan Points Booster items | A booster item activates a personal multiplier for a set time, for example 4x for 90 minutes from the Titan Mystery Vault. The multiplier applies to the points you earn, and you see "You have gained an additional {n} clan points from your active clan booster." See Mystery Vault. |
| Titan Mask | +50% clan points while worn. See Mystery Vault. |
| Point Boost enchantment | A Legendary weapon enchantment, up to level V, with a chance to raise the clan points from a kill while you hold the weapon. It does not affect KOTH points. See Lifesteal Enchants. |
| Outpost control | The clan that holds the Red Keep Outpost gets a 1.2x clan points booster (20% more) on every member's gains for as long as it holds it. See Outposts. |
| Rank bonus | If your rank carries a clan points bonus, the extra points show in brackets in the gain message. |
Weekly and all-time boards#
| Board | What it counts | Resets |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | A clan's net points (gains minus losses) since the last weekly reset | Every Wednesday at 8:00 PM server time |
| All-Time | A clan's total points | Never |
Each board shows the top clans with the leader's head as the icon.
Menu controls#
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Weekly Leaderboard / All-Time Leaderboard | Switches between the two boards. The description lists the weekly rewards for the top three clans and how points are earned. There is a one-second cooldown between switches. |
| Next Reset (clock) | Counts down to the next weekly reset. |
| Leaderboard History (book) | Opens the history menu. |
| Clan entry | Shows the position, clan name, leader and points. Click it to run /clan info <clan> for that clan. |
| Page arrows | Move through the list of clans. |
The history menu, Clan Leaderboard History, has one book per finished week named "Week {number}, {year}". Each book lists that week's winners as "#{position} {clan} ({points} Points)". If no week has been recorded yet you see "No leaderboard history found!"
Weekly reset and gem payouts#
Every Wednesday at 8:00 PM server time the weekly leaderboard is drawn.
| Position | Gems paid |
|---|---|
| 1st | 7,500 |
| 2nd | 5,000 |
| 3rd | 2,500 |
- Gems are paid to the leader of each winning clan, not split between members. Clans that want to share the prize have to do that themselves.
- The top 10 clans of the week are recorded in the leaderboard history.
- Every clan's weekly points go back to zero, and all strikes are cleared.
- Gems are the network's store currency. See Gems.
Strikes#
Staff can record a strike against a clan for breaking the rules. /clan strikes <clan> shows a clan's strikes, each with its reason and date, or "This clan has no strikes."
A clan with more than three strikes is left out of the weekly leaderboard and therefore cannot win the weekly payout. Its all-time points are not affected. Strikes are cleared at every weekly reset, so the penalty ends with the week.
KOTH events that award points#
| KOTH | Points |
|---|---|
| Cover KOTH | +100 |
| Square KOTH | +100 |
| Canyon KOTH | +100 |
| Crossing KOTH | +100 |
| Citadel | +500 |
Winning any of these also gives the winner a KOTH Crate key and, if the winner is in a clan, counts toward the KOTHs Captured number shown in /clan info. See Crates for the crate, and KOTH for how KOTH events work.
