The Red Keep Outpost is Lifesteal's clan capture point. Unlike a KOTH, it never ends: a clan keeps control until a rival clan captures it. The clan that controls it earns bonus clan points. Outposts on other gamemodes are listed on KOTH and Outposts.
The Warps menu describes it as "Capture the outpost for clan bonuses. Hold control and defend your claim." Warp there with /warp outpost.
Capturing#
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Capture time | 5 minutes |
| Who can capture | Players in a clan, as long as their clan does not already control the outpost |
| Time limit | None. The outpost is always running. |
| Building | Not allowed in the outpost world |
- Stand inside the capture area. If no one is capturing, one eligible player in the area is chosen and starts capturing. The server announces "
<player>is now capping Red Keep Outpost!". - The capturer must stay in the area, alive. If they leave or die, the capture resets: "
<player>is no longer capping". - If another eligible player kills the capturer, the killer takes over the capture.
- After holding the area for 5 minutes, the capturer's clan takes control: "
<player>has won Red Keep Outpost!".
Warnings count down as for a KOTH: "5 minutes before <player> caps the outpost!" and "1 minute before <player> caps the outpost!", and an announcement when the outpost has gone uncaptured for 10 minutes.
What the controlling clan gets#
While a clan controls the outpost it receives a clan points booster of 1.2x (20% more points). The booster is renewed every 30 seconds for as long as the clan holds the outpost, and it ends when another clan captures it. Clan points are covered on Clans.
The scoreboard shows the outpost status:
Outpost: <time>andCapturing: <player>andControlled by: <clan>while it is being contested, orOutpost: Inactivewhen no outpost is running.
Tips#
- You need a clan to capture. Create or join one first. See Clans.
- Bring your clan: a lone capturer is easy to kill. A kill gives the killer a Heart item, so the outpost is a hot spot for hearts too. See Gaining and Losing Hearts.
- The outpost has its own world, and combat tag works there as everywhere else. See Combat Tag.
