Orders are requests that players post for items they want. You choose an item, a quantity and a price, pay for the whole order up front, and other players fill it from their inventories and are paid on the spot. On Lifesteal this is how you get materials in bulk, and how you earn Money or Gems by supplying them. The commands also answer to /playerjobs.
Commands#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/orders or /playerjobs | Opens the Orders board with every active order. |
/orders create or /playerjobs create | Starts creating an order. |
The Orders board#
The board lists every order that is still unfilled. Each entry shows the requester, the item, how much has been filled out of the quantity, the price per item and the total, and how long ago it was requested.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Order entry | Click to open Filling Order for that order. |
| Orders (book) | Opens the order creation menu. |
| Your Orders (nether star) | Opens a list of your own orders. |
| Page arrows | Move through the list. |
Filling an order#
- Click an order on the board. The Filling Order menu opens.
- Choose Sell Item and enter an amount, or choose Sell Entire Inventory to put in as many matching items as the order still needs.
- The items leave your inventory and you are paid immediately: the price per item times the number you delivered, in the order's currency. The game says "Filled {quantity}x items".
You cannot fill your own order ("Cannot fill your own order"). If the order needs fewer items than you offered, only the needed amount is taken and the rest stays with you. If you have no matching items you see "You don't have enough items". There is no fee on filling an order.
Creating an order#
- Run
/orders create. The Select Item menu lists every obtainable item, with a Search name tag button. - Click the item you want and type the quantity in chat at the Enter quantity prompt.
- Choose the payment in Select Currency: Money or Gems, then type the price per item at the Enter amount prompt.
- Check the Confirm order menu, which shows the item, amount, price per item and the Total, and click Confirm.
The total cost is taken from your balance immediately and held until the order is filled or closed. The game says "Order created".
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not enough money | You cannot afford the total. |
| Invalid amount | The quantity or price you typed was not valid. |
| Order limit reached, list more orders concurrently by purchasing a higher rank. | You already have the maximum number of active orders. |
| Unable to create your order right now. Please try again later. | The order could not be saved and nothing was charged. |
Order limit and expiry#
You can have 1 active order at a time by default. The limit message says that a higher rank lets you list more orders at once. Orders on Lifesteal never expire; they stay on the board until they are filled or you deactivate them.
Managing your orders#
Open Your Orders from the board and click an order to manage it. Each of your entries also shows whether the order is Active or Inactive.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Redeem Items (chest) | Gives you the items other players have delivered. A left click redeems one stack, and a right click fills as much of your inventory as the order can supply. If your inventory is full you see "Inventory full". |
| Deactivate Order (redstone) | Takes the order off the board. You are refunded for the part nobody has filled yet. |
| Fill history (clock) | Lists who filled the order, how many items, the price and how long ago. |
Items that were already delivered stay yours to redeem even after you deactivate the order.
Tips#
- Pay a little above the shop sell price when you want items fast. Compare with the base prices in Shop and Selling.
- Check the board for orders that want items you already carry; filling them pays instantly.
- Keep an eye on your order limit. Deactivate finished orders so you can post new ones.
