Clans

Team up on Lifesteal with a clan, share chat, warps and allies, and compete for the weekly clan leaderboard and its gem payouts.

Clans are player-run teams on Lifesteal. A clan has a leader, an optional set of co-leaders, a private chat, shared warps, alliances with other clans and a place on the clan leaderboard. Clans earn clan points from kills, KOTH captures and the Siege event, lose points when members are killed by other clans' players, and the best three clans of each week pay out gems to their leaders.

Getting started#

  1. Run /clan create <name> to found a clan. You become its Leader. See Creating a Clan.
  2. Invite friends with /clan invite <player>. Invites last 5 minutes and the invited player accepts with /clan accept <clan>. See Clan Members.
  3. Talk privately with /cc <message> or by starting a message with @. See Clan Chat.
  4. Set a clan warp for your base with /clan setwarp <name>. See Clan Warps.
  5. Earn points by killing players and winning KOTH events, and climb the leaderboard with /clan top. See Clan Leaderboard and Points.

Type /clanhelp in game to open a menu that lists the common clan commands.

Limits that depend on ranks#

The number of members a clan can hold, how many allies it can have and how many warps it can set are not fixed. Each of these limits is taken from the ranks of the clan's members: the clan uses the highest value that any one of its members brings. /clan info prints the current Member Limit, Ally Limit and Warp Limit, and the Clan Information item in the /clan menu shows the same numbers. The in-game rank menus list the clan benefits of each rank, for example 12 clan members for Reaper and Netherite and 3 clan warps from Wraith up. See Clan Roles and Permissions for the full list.

How clans show up in the game#

  • Your clan name appears in square brackets before your name in chat, and above your head on your nametag. Players without a clan show [*] in chat.
  • Clan members are listed with their kill count in /clan info.
  • Friendly fire between clan members and allies is off by default and has to be switched on by both players. See Clan Menu and Friendly Fire.
  • Killing a member of an allied clan never awards clan points.

See also#

  • Combat for combat tagging and the other PvP rules.
  • KOTH for the KOTH events that award clan points.
  • Outposts for the Red Keep Outpost and its clan points bonus.
  • Hearts for how hearts move between players on a kill.
  • Crates for the KOTH Crate key that KOTH winners and the final Siege capturer receive.
