The Lifesteal Mobility enchants are six boots enchants that help you move and land safely: permanent Speed and Jump Boost, extra Speed at full health, less fall damage, healing while you sprint and a way through soul sand and powder snow. All of them come from runes bought in the enchant shop. Sprinter's healing counts toward the regeneration limit described in Combat Balance.
How mobility enchants work#
- All six work only on boots you are wearing. Boots in your inventory do nothing.
- One pair of boots can carry several of these enchants at once. You can only wear one pair, so copies on other boots never add up.
- Fast Feet and Springs give their effect when you put the boots on and take it away when you take them off. Slipstream and Sure Step are checked once a second and give a 1.5 second effect that keeps being renewed while their condition holds.
- The effects show no particles and no icon in the corner of the screen.
- Speed from different sources does not add up. The strongest Speed effect is the one that counts, and a weaker one returns when the stronger one runs out.
- Rune prices: Common 5,000 XP, Uncommon 10,000 XP. A rune gives a random enchant of its rarity; see Runes.
- Lifesteal also has an Extraction Scroll, which can pull a Mobility enchant off your boots into a book. See Extraction Scroll.

Enchant details#
Fast Feet#
Fast Feet is a Common enchant for boots with two levels. While you wear the boots you have Speed I at level I or Speed II at level II, with no time limit.
- Taking the boots off clears your Speed effect, which can also end a Speed potion that is active at that moment.
- Drinking milk also removes it. Take the boots off and put them back on to get it back.
Featherweight#
Featherweight is a Common enchant for boots that reduces fall damage by 12% per level, up to 60% at level V. At level V a fall that would deal 10 damage deals 4.
- It works the same way as the Armor enchant Padded, and the two stack when both are on your boots. Each takes its share off what the other leaves, so Featherweight V and Padded V together reduce fall damage by 84%.
- It also stacks with the vanilla Feather Falling enchantment.
- The in-game description reads "12 per level". The number is a percentage.
Slipstream#
Slipstream is an Uncommon enchant for boots. Once a second, if you are at full health, it gives you Speed matching its level (Speed I, II or III) for 1.5 seconds. As soon as you drop below full health the effect is no longer renewed, so it fades within 1.5 seconds.
- Full health means your current maximum health, including extra hearts and the bonus from Vitality.
- It does not replace a stronger Speed you already have. Slipstream III at full health beats Fast Feet II, while Slipstream I adds nothing on top of Fast Feet II.
Springs#
Springs is a Common enchant for boots that gives you Jump Boost matching its level (Jump Boost I, II or III) while you wear the boots, with no time limit.
- Taking the boots off clears your Jump Boost effect, which can also end a Jump Boost potion that is active at that moment.
- Drinking milk also removes it. Take the boots off and put them back on to get it back.
Sprinter#
Sprinter is an Uncommon enchant for boots that heals you while you sprint: 0.1 HP per second per level, so 0.3 HP per second (0.15 hearts) at level III. It only heals while you are below your maximum health and are sprinting at that moment.
- Sprinter shares the passive regeneration limit of 0.4 HP per second with Recovery and Replenish. Sprinter III with Recovery V would add up to 0.5 HP per second, so you get 0.4.
- When another player damages you, Sprinter heals nothing for 6 seconds. See combat tag.
- Recovery and Replenish are listed on Lifesteal Survival Enchants.
Sure Step#
Sure Step is a Common enchant for boots with a single level. Once a second, while you stand on soul sand or in powder snow, it gives you Speed VII for 1.5 seconds to offset the slowdown of those blocks. The Speed can last up to 1.5 seconds after you step off.
- Only soul sand and powder snow count. Other slowing blocks, such as honey blocks and cobwebs, are not covered.
- The in-game description mentions ice, but the enchant reacts only to soul sand and powder snow.
