Managing Claims

Managing Claims

The My Claims and Manage Claim menus, renaming, teleporting back to a claim, deleting it and checking a claim's tier with /claim info.

Two menus run your land. My Claims lists every chunk you own, and Manage Claim controls a single chunk. A third menu, Global Claim Settings, sets defaults for all of your claims at once.

My Claims (/claims)#

/claims opens a paged list of your claims.

  • Each entry is named after the claim (or "<world> Claim" if you never renamed it) and shows the world, the X and Z of the chunk and the date you claimed it.
  • Named claims come first, sorted by name. Unnamed claims follow, sorted by world and then coordinates.
  • Click a claim to open its Manage Claim menu.
  • The Global Settings button (comparator) at the bottom opens the global menu described below.

Manage Claim (/claim edit)#

Stand in one of your claims and run /claim edit (or /claim). You can also reach the menu from My Claims.

ButtonWhat it does
Rename ClaimOpens a text prompt titled "Rename Claim". The name appears in My Claims and in the claim market sell menu
Manage Claim GuestsAdd or remove players who can access and build here. See Trust and Guests
Claim PermissionsChoose who may build, open containers, fish and more in this claim. See Claim Permissions
Claim SettingsToggle explosions, mob grief, fire spread and online map anonymisation for this claim. See Claim Toggles
Teleport to claimTeleports you to a safe spot in the claim after the usual teleport warm-up. If none is found you see "Couldn't find a safe location to teleport to."
Delete ClaimOpens a confirmation, then permanently removes the claim and frees the land

Only the owner can open the Manage Claim menu of a personal claim. Guests cannot rename, change permissions or delete.

Global Claim Settings (/claim global)#

/claim global (or the button in My Claims) opens settings that apply to all your claims unless a claim overrides them:

ButtonWhat it sets
Global PermissionsDefault role needed for each permission. See Claim Permissions
Global SettingsDefault value of each toggle. See Claim Toggles
Global GuestsPlayers who count as guests on every claim you own. See Trust and Guests
Banned PlayersPlayers banned from all of your claims. See Claim Bans

In the per-claim permission menu, left-click cycles a permission forward through the roles and right-click cycles it back. Clicking past the last role returns it to "Using global setting", which clears the override for that claim. Reset All to Global clears every permission override on the claim at once. In the per-claim toggle menu, each click goes On, Off, then back to "Using global setting".

Claim info (/claim info)#

/claim info works in any claimed chunk and prints the claim's tier and how many spawners and villagers it holds out of the allowed amounts. See Claim Upgrades.

Claim notices#

Walking into or out of a claim shows an action bar message, for example "You have entered Steve's claim." or "You have left Steve's claim." Town land says "You have entered <town>'s town claim." When something is blocked you see "You do not have permission to do that here."
