Stopping Force is a Legendary enchant for Diamond Leggings leggings. When something hits you, it has a chance to reduce how far the hit pushes you back. Higher levels make the effect proc more often and cut more of the knockback.
How to get it#
Stopping Force comes from the Legendary rune. A Legendary rune costs 200,000 XP in the enchant shop and turns into an enchanted book with one of the 31 Legendary enchants in Survival, picked at random, so each rune has a 1 in 31 chance of being Stopping Force. Effect#
Each time you are hit by an attack from another entity (a player, a mob or a projectile) while wearing the enchanted leggings, Stopping Force rolls its chance, which is 10% per level. On a success your knockback from that hit is reduced to a share of the normal amount: 15% less per level. The reduction is applied one tick after the hit.

Notes and tips#
- A proc only softens that single hit; the other hits keep their normal knockback.
- Only the leggings slot is checked, so the enchant does nothing on other armor pieces.
- Lower levels are more likely when a rune book is revealed (level of the book).
