The Chunk Loader is a beacon that keeps the chunk it stands in loaded and active while it has battery time, so farms, spawners and machines there keep running when no player is nearby. It works in the overworld, the Nether and the End.
How to get it#
Chunk Loaders can be found in lootboxes and vault rewards and come with a starting battery time:
Rewards
- Lootboxes: the starting battery time varies by lootbox
- Mystery vault: 7 days
How to use it#
- Place the Chunk Loader (a
Beacon block) in the chunk you want to keep running.
- Right-click it to open its menu. The menu shows "Chunk loader is active" with the remaining time, or "Chunk loader has expired".
- Add Batteries by clicking the battery button with a Battery on your cursor.
While active, spawners in the chunk keep working. When the battery runs out the chunk is released and unloads like any other chunk.
Notes#
- The battery runs down in real time, even while nobody is online; add time before it ends.
- Breaking the block returns it with the remaining battery time.
